Dornbusch Associates performed economic analyses on the following Indian reservations to determine the feasibility of developing a wide variety of agricultural, commercial, recreation, tourism, and industrial projects. The analyses relied upon extensive market, social and economic analyses, and many were coordinated with engineering, horticultural, and agronomic studies of water and land resource availability, suitability and costs.
Most of the studies were performed to prepare expert witness testimony to support Indian tribal water rights and damages claims. Some were the basis for Congressional project authorizations, damages awards, and settlements, and for which we have received formal commendations from many of the tribes. Some have been the basis for economic and social components of the project EISs.
All assessed the feasibility of specific development projects on the reservations. And, all included special recognition of unique reservation conditions and the tribes’ concerns and objectives regarding their natural and cultural resources, and socio-economic and financial conditions.
